She may not be as graceful as Rekha.. or as expressive as Rani in the
song.. 'tumhari adaaon pe mein vari vari'..but the choreography is lovely..
it marks each and every string of the music.. if you know what i mean.. !!
And she has done justice to the dance. :)

noon of Awadhi culture. The setting looks so contrived. On the other hand,
Muzaffar Ali's Umrao Jaan was cinematic poetry. It depicted the last days
of Awadh in a breathtaking display of virtuosity. The new sets and
'designer' clothes can never match the silken grace.

The facial expressions of the women around her are almost as amusing as her
beautiful dance. I can't find the movie to watch with subtitles, but I'm
guessing some of them are older women on her side and at least one of them
is younger and jealous, haha.

seeing Aishwarya, I was wondering how many retakes and hours the director,
dance director cameran man make man etc...must have spent to make this
5-6minutes song and the result is the movie flopped. Aishwarya or no
Aishwarya, remakes rarely outshine the original and this is where Rekha
