Comments on song "Salaam Karne Ki Aarju Hai"
sushri90 on February 25, 2009 This movie was so horrible and her acting made me want to cry. The songs
were ok, but nowhere close to as good as the old Umrao Jaan. Abhishek was
WAY better than Farook Sheikh in the old one. Aishwarya's dance was puke
worthy... not really her fault. The choreography was dreadful, but she
couldn't capture the essence of Umrao Jaan like Rekha did. All Aishwarya
did was pose in the entiere movie. Her arrogance was clearly seen in the
entire movie.
jimmycroni on February 25, 2009 I really liked the movie and wannted to cry because I actually elt for
Umrao Jaan. I thought Aish was great and the dancing was amazing. I think
you're jsut hating on talent. She has bad movies but this aint one.
sushri90 on February 25, 2009 Jimmycrow - chill it, skillet. Neither am I denying her talent nor am I
hating on her. I loved her in Taal and HDDCS. This movie, for one, should
not have been remade and secondly, this movie was just not her cup of tea.
That's my belief; you're entitled to yours.
Shadi Tim on February 26, 2009 I see a lot of Persian elements in this film especially this
song.hmmm...nice song by the way.I'm in love with her costume.itz
sooooo glamorous!!
sashacute22 on March 01, 2009 ash is a good actress but the old umrao jaan and rekha did better job
sushri90 on March 02, 2009 Your lack of appreciation for GOOD talent tells me how worthless your
opinions are. Your screen name best describes my reaction to what you said.
You have absolutely no sense of taste.
13may86 on March 05, 2009 if i am not wrong...rekha is known as "diva of Bollywood"
Gunjan139 on March 11, 2009 wah umrao wah,,, zamane ke bad aese labz sune hai, masa aalah, jab aap
kehte hai ki jise bhi hum dekhle palat kar, usi ko apna gulam karde, gulam
kardiya masa aalah,.. . . .

deadlocker on March 13, 2009 if she was trying to emote like madhuri, she failed. Aishwarya may have the
technical skills to dance, but she will never be as graceful or emotive as
madhuri. Period.
soph60 on March 15, 2009 she's stunning !x
cayashton on March 16, 2009 She is beautifull *.* Your eyes..GOD
sabbirsa on March 17, 2009 What is the difference? I speak Hindi yet I am able to speak Urdu with Urdu speaking people. Javed Sahab used a combination of Hindi/Urdu -- not completely Urdu.
harvestbasket on March 17, 2009 and madhuri will never be famous or iconic like aishwarya period.
after devdas, aishwarya became an international star and madhuri a housewife. NUFF SAID!
baneenshah on March 19, 2009 u guys must be kidding...madhuri is nothing b4 aishwarya...when aishwarya
dances each n every part of her body dances...specially her face
expressions r awesome...she is truly the godess of dance!!
kabul001900 on March 20, 2009 wow asif you really rock hehe
Lindsay Greenho on March 22, 2009 Why was I given thumbs down for defending my mother's nation from
stereotypes?
jadielina on March 24, 2009 i totally agree, they are both amazing in different ways. madhuri is not
fat!

you Pakis can live in peace in your country.
mlcas on April 03, 2009 where can i watch the full movie with english sub?
ninicita8888 on April 06, 2009 I've recently heard about this movie (i only knew Rekha's version)... After
seeing it, I was kinda choked to see the bad reviews because even though it
is far from being perfect, Aish's performance was great. I mean it was not
overacted. The plot was after the book, without anything new, so we cannot
judge it. And the songs, well the songs, was very good. All of them. So, I
can't understand the reviews. Aish's did a great job in Umrao's part.
raniafry on April 07, 2009 Madhuri Dixit's a better dancer.
Hiral Patel on April 07, 2009 she is beautiful! i love ash shes such an amazing dancer!
jimmycroni on April 07, 2009 I am not comparing Aish and Rekha, I am speaking on how well Aish fulfilled
the role of Umrao Jaan. She is over-estmatedc and I'm not a fan. I'm
speaking of the role in which I thought she proved herself as an actress
and dancer. And if you're not hating on talent, is it her beauty, fashion,
money or fame that you're jealous of? Stop comparing and look at how Aish
played the role, not Rekha and stop hating on the other things you're
jealous of.
jimmycroni on April 07, 2009 Just wondering, what are some of your best dance number since this is so
terrible? By chance, are your fav dancers Ajay Devgan and Esha Deol?
ninicita8888 on April 08, 2009 I think you meant that she was UNDER-estimated. But I agree with everything
you wrote.
jimmycroni on April 08, 2009 I meant in terms of her entire acting career, she has been over-estimated
but for this role, she was under-estimated bc she was being compared to
Rekha.
jnvhbfcb on April 09, 2009 people where can i see this movie with english subs??????
Camila Cerón on April 09, 2009 me facina u.u
kurdishgirl9x on April 11, 2009 i cant understand the lyrics because i cant speak hindi but this song is very nice
jnvhbfcb on April 12, 2009 thank you so much didn't no netflix had indian movies
Camila Cerón on April 12, 2009 demaciado bkn!
kbharatloyo on April 13, 2009 ok jimmy, so lets think about this for a sec: aishwarya is playing a very
celebrated role(that of umrao jaan) which was played by rekha who is
considered by many to be an excellent actress and dancer. now when i say
dancer i dont mean someone who is part of a 'dance number' but a historic
art form. so the comparison between rekha and aishwarya has to happen- they
played the same historical character(umrao jaan).
TechnicoPersonal on April 13, 2009 Where is she from?
windada on April 15, 2009 I don't understand how this could have possibly flopped
pinkp1994 on April 16, 2009 i've gotta admit she's realy looknig pretty here
Tanishaluvzmumbai on April 16, 2009 to much compairing to the first movie and not enough attention on this
movie for what it was in its own right :P i totally agree the movie was
really good
