I believe the MD Sardar Malik is the father of Anu Malik. The song is

Thank you for this gem from my distant past. 1960, when I was 9 years old
and growing up in Trivandrum, Kerala listened to this one on many a night
on my family's GEC radio, Vividh Bharati at night (when reception was
better), and fell asleep to its gentle touch, without understanding the
lyrics. Now of course, I am quite fluent in saral Hindi.
