i m a die hard fan of rafi & never ignore other legends. there r mentors of rafi sahib who composed 4 rafi sahib 2 reach the Himalayan heights. had there bn no shanker jkishen madan mohan o p nayyar roshan chitragupt sd burman r d burman kalyan g anand g khayyam naushad c ramchandra etc there would hv bn no rafi lata & others. all including rafi sahib r gr8 & plz hv courage 2 praise others also. in ones own capacity every other singer are also best & gr8 like my favorit rafi sahib.

After all these years, I still find this song my favourite from the movie "Tere Ghar Ke Samne" which is loaded with many classic songs. Go figure.

Jagjit ji is correct. But it is wrong to say also that there would be no Rafi without other greats. This is important because Rafi did have some training in music including classical so he sang great songs not just for the famous composers but also comparably less famous ones like Usha Khanna, Sonik Omi, Franky, Jimmy and Raj Ratan - many would not have heard of the last three names mentioned by me. Music directors (except Ravi) all had training, so were destined to succeed anyways.

Rafi saab, in this world of hatred and violence there are very few things that solace our heart. No doubt your voice is one of them. When you sing it seems god is the name of love.

Timeless classic from the formidable combination of legends. Thank you for
its revival.

The SD Burman classic. The honey sweet divine voice of Rafi sahib, very
well picturized on Devanand.
