Jagjit ji is correct. But it is wrong to say also that there would be no Rafi without other greats. This is important because Rafi did have some training in music including classical so he sang great songs not just for the famous composers but also comparably less famous ones like Usha Khanna, Sonik Omi, Franky, Jimmy and Raj Ratan - many would not have heard of the last three names mentioned by me. Music directors (except Ravi) all had training, so were destined to succeed anyways.
