This really is a marvellous piece: Superb song, which has an idyllic aura
by S.D; Lata was clearly at her peak. Sunil looks quite the matinee idol, &
Vyjayanthi is picture perfect in breathtaking fashion; beautiful enough to

the song Jao re is from Amrapalli. its on the soundtrack but when i saw the
film it wasnt there. It could have not been in the movie like many other
songs for eg. Jeevan Path par from Ek Shriman Ek Shrimati is such a
beautiful song on the soundtrack but not in the movie. So i am guessing Jao
re also was not in the movie but i am 100 percent sure its on Amrapalli's
soundtrack.

Bhanu Athaiya should have got the Oscar for costumes for this instead of for Gandhi.
Just mesmerized by the clothes--his ear balis, her hair comb, his dhoti (that should get an Oscar all by itself.) Plus they are both gorgeous ...
