What a powerful voice of Rafi saheb ! and only Lata could sing the female version in such high pitch. Incidentally, Ramlal prepared the tune and orchestra but Shantaram recorded the song in his absence in Mahendra Kapoor's voice. However, after return, Ramlal did not approve the song and insisted that only Rafi can sing this tune. This was Rafi's first song under Rajkamal banner. Ramlal was so much true for this song. Rest is the history, Great composer and great sinnger..wah wah !

Listen to the same song sung by Lata. Listen to ..Jaa kar ...kise sunaye...and compare. Why these two are such all time great becomes obvious. And also due to lack of technology - you can even hear Raf's voice cracking at 108/109. Dont miss it. Even the greatest of the great singers were humans.

it is hard to belive that this voice is own by an human. his voice touch the sky and its nothing comparing to himalia. if it goes down (kharaj) the depth of the sea will be embaress infront of his voice.

In female voice no doubt lata ji is queen. No female voice is above her but wn it comes of Rafi sahaab.. no comparision. What I feel fr.his meodious super duper voice, that He was so pure from deep of his heart that his purity can be feel from his voice expressions. & when a person is innocent & pure fr. the heart, is been loved by all even by God.so was He.
