Joshi Sb, Everytime I listen to this song I start crying because it reflects my own life I rate this song as top most song by Kishore Kumar, helplessness and emptiness of Prikshat Sahni's son (I dont know his name)is so natural and emotional that one can feel it, especially at the last shot when he sings aaj say juda ho gayan rahin apni and the two trains going in opposite directions vow, brillant work.

I personally think that some should do not give his/her life for someone whom you have loved in the life ,there is someone who is better in life ,and moreover whatever happen has happened for the good reson, so carry on with your life , instead of bowing down to who does not love you in life ,even if he/she love you after bowing down it will not like before when you first met him/her.

This song from movie Pavitar Paapi based on Novel with same name very
famous Punjabi author Nanak Singh. I saw this movie with my class mates
about 38 years back, we were two/three boys rest were girls. I never ever
seen so much crying we all were crying non stop, but the girls about 15 of
them were just uncontrollable. It is very painful movie to watch, it has
very very sad ending. I still remember some of the girls had red eyes next
day from crying. Lot of memories. Thanks from Canada. Sam

Dear Gothica247: I am sure you will find this movie in the U.K. I will
definitely ask around if I get it in the near future I will definitely send
it to you or at least send the source where to get it. I wish I had this
movie to send it to you so that you and your loved ones (mom) could have
watched together. However it is very sad movie, like recent Pinjar but
sometimes it is very nice to shed some tears and get it out of the system.

Dear Gothica 247: as you know or may know the writer was Punjabi and this
movie had lot of punjabi influence. The history, culture and geography of
the area made it center of many good things and not so good things. Due to
constant threat of war for thousands of years, punjabi people in general
are very emotional they show happiness and sorrow extremely well as they
