Sugandha u should concentrate more on ur singing than making Love to the
mic stand. get your basics right.
Vikram Vivekanand on October 20, 2012
Well, if Indian Ocean would have played this song, maybe it would have
sounded different. This is Papon's interpretation of this song. That's why
you have Indian Ocean, and you have Papon. I'm just saying that different
people have different approaches to art. There are no rules to being 'more
creative and innovative'.
Gayatri Borpatra Gohain on November 01, 2012

Durlov Baruah on November 30, 2012
Where is Indian Ocean coming from? We have been getting similar sound
designs from Indian Ocean from some time now. There is no precedence to
expect innovative brilliance from Indian Ocean. Papon and Sugandha and the
team has done a great job. Period. As compare to that Lewis fellow and
others who have tried to fuse an old sound composition.
Durlov Baruah on November 30, 2012
What Sugandha did was her style and her decision. But I admire that she did
a lot of hardwork to get the Assamese pronunciations 99% correct. She added
the required zing to the song in this rendition.
pranab kakati on December 02, 2012
Please respect the hard work, this is is brilliant song. About Sugandha,
she was enjoying this beautiful song.
Gopi Nath on December 20, 2012

Raghu's Coming for you .. LOL
MrPKDindia on December 23, 2012
You are quite right. I'm afraid my reference to Indian Ocean missed the
mark. I didn't mean (as people seem to interpret it) that Papon should
sound like Indian Ocean; but sadly, my comment became self-defeating
because of this example. But as it seems to be the case, my approach to
appreciating a piece of music is different from you.
Vikram Vivekanand on December 23, 2012
My point was that Papon shouldn't sound like anyone else except himself.
Indian Ocean was merely an example that the both of us used to explain the
comparison. It could have been any name that either of us could have
mentioned. And you are right about your approach to appreciating music.
That is totally relative. But consider this for example. I'm not a fan of
metal, but that doesn't mean I take away credit from metal, simply because
I don't like it. I simply prefer rock. There's a difference.
MrPKDindia on December 23, 2012
Mr. Debajeet Chaoudhury, first of all I thank you for christening me P. K.
Das (though I don't understand why). Now allow me make it clear, that what
I meant was that this is not the BEST we can expect from Papon; he can
definitely do far better. Do we ever say of a Himesh Reshammiya number that
it could have been better?. Furthermore, I happen to believe that a great
piece of music can cross boundaries on its own terms; they do not
'Indianize' Western music to sell in India, do they?
MrPKDindia on December 23, 2012
Yes, its not the medium that matters, rather the way one handles it.
Moreover, personal prejudices (or 'preferences', to be politically correct)
do creep in. I am no exception.

Mridul baruah on February 12, 2013
Have never heard Indian Ocean playing any fusion of Assamese traditional
music. Have you? I presume the answer will be NO...then why compare. Papon
has his own identity..
Mridul baruah on February 12, 2013
1:06 = Oi ram...this song doesn't have a word of any other language besides
Assamese (Oxomiya).

Vishwanath Natarajan on February 23, 2013
It is a standard blues riff which fitted in very well with the song.
Leheria on March 01, 2013
This is awesome! I truly, truly hope folk songs don't die out. Even with
all the electronica revamping, what makes this song so catchy to me is the
folk tune.
Arohan Konwar on March 14, 2013
Joi Aai Axom!
