thanks for clip; i have to disagree with you; rafi is my favorite singer by
far and objectively I think he is the greatest and no one should try to
compare another male singer with him because it'd be lamp to sun; however,
in this song, lata takes the cake here, EASILY. she is my favorite in this
song and notice she coordinates the other singers to come in esp rafi here.

It's silly to compare the vocals of Rafi & Lata for obvious reasons
(although the two correspond to each other in terms of career, greatness,
ability etc). Of all the singers, in THIS song, Lata's voice is the most
melodious, clean and CRISP. She is amazing! Rafi Sahab (as dictated by the
illustration here) sounds rougher (esp. in the beginning) and doesn't
employ AS much melody as he usually does (again, by design of song - give
up melody for a real strong tone). Lata proves her greatness here.

speaking of mahendra kapoor and dilip kumar - anyone have his duet with
Lata from Gopi? People hype Dilip here. He doesn't do anything special here
and he's lucky to have the one and only MOHD RAFI sing for him. After
Leader, Dilip Kumar's head was weird shaped - creepy face. Also, tragedy
isn't the only way to mark greatness (BORING!)what about comedy? Could
Dilip do the Sholay water tower scene as well? Hema looks beautiful here.

u dont know any thing about acting, when u deny dilip kumar's acting its
like u mean there is light with out sun, ur comments make no sense. dilip
kumar is the strongest of all piller in indian cinema, remove it and no

o come on! whose singing was bad here? i thinkk all 4 were excellent. to my
subjective, personal taste, on this rare occasion, the composition itself
given to rafi within the song was my least favorite. but overall the song
was good and all 4 singers did really well. lata was especially good on
this one - she set up the other singers imho. don't take my comments too
seriously - i'm just chatting / discussing for the heck of it. thanks for
the video guys.
