Rafi Sahab's version a bigger hit and more melodious than the Lata version from the same movie.
Same holds true to other songs sung by the two greats like, "Ehsan tera Hoga Mujhpar", "Mere Mehboob Tujhe", "Sau Sal pehle mujhe tumse pyar tha" etc. etc... rafi version always better than Lata's ..

Absolutely right, my friend. My opinion is that all songs of Rafi,Kishore,Mukesh, Manna Dey, Mahendra have travelled across time. But I know of unforgettable singers before them.And then , we had kishore sanu and others but which are forgettable within a short span of time. Songs today are mostly forgettable once u heard it for the first time.
