At the passing away of Music Director Madan Mohan, Laxmikant of Laxmikant Pyarelal said "With the demise of Madan Mohan, the melody from Indian film music is gone". Of course, Laxmikant was trying to make headlines by saying so. Later however, he and many other music directors didn't mind stealing Madan's tunes and claim them as their own compositions such as this one copied from "Jis Din Se Main Tumko Dekha Hai" from film Parwana 1971.

where Lata sings "meri doli uthegi phoolon wali" is just amazing. such
feeling such emotion, Its no wonder this woman ruled the hindi music

between the two songs to be very fleeting. I love both composers. Madan
