it is not that I dont know of the doyens of patiala gharana like Amanat Ali khan Saheb or the greats like chaggan miyan or the great Salamat and Nazakat ali khan sahebs of shyam chourasi gharana or Abida Parveen who is from the same lineage as that of salamat ali khan sahib! so dont talk nonsense!

Asha Bhonsleji might be a good singer but personally to me her voice sounds
too shrill and immature. Also her Urdu is not well spoken, because she's
not a native speaker. Au ghazal ke saath guitar daal diya.. hadd hoti hai..

Its sad to see singer of such high caliber copying songs without giving credit to Farida khanum. I love her voice but honestly Faridha khanum ji is best coz its her original conposition. I request people please do not copy songs without giving credit to original.

I love Asha Bhonsle, and this song started off well, but it gradually
spiralled wayy off tune and halfway into the song there was na sur na taal.

This song has been sung well by all who have sung it. Heard Peenaz Misani
sing it beautifully live. But the best was Nihira. Strongly recommend the
viewers to hear her rendition of this song too. Asha ji be blessed and
continue gladdening our senses through her silken voice!!

It is good to hear Asha's flawless singing. Both Farida and Asha are great
singers. But the reason Farida's rendition is slightly better is she sings
with traditional tabla, sarangi and harmonium. See, those instruments have
their own tranquilising effect and make music more effective.If Asha
would have sung with same traditional instruments, and still more classical
like Farida, then it would have that extra advantage. Still Asha rendition
is good

has rendered this number magically with her magical voice, as usual.
Anybody not agreeing is not going to change that! Uttering filthy words

Without any offence to the greatness of both, Farida ji's rendition has more of a classic touch with its tabla backgroud and relaxed feel than the slight modern rendition of Asha ji. So it feels more soothing, classic and better to listen to...
