Comments on song "Ham Hain Mataa-E-Kuchaa-O-Baazaar Ki Tarah"
penta15786 on March 03, 2015 This ghazal written by Majrooh Sultanpuri is composed soulfully by Madan
Mohan. The sitar in the background is played by Ustad Rais Khan. After
listening to it a few times the melody never leaves you so you come back to
it again and again.
Today we want to play western music so that the world would appreciate and
respect us at the world stage whereby giving up Indian music and its roots.
Indian music that we hear today is more western than what you hear in the
west.
I wish Indian music would come back to it's root but alas the poets, the
music directors have all gone. Mediocrity has set in and Khizaa has set in
the avenue's of music.
