I wonder if you can upload "Zindagi Hai Kya Sun Meri Jaan ..." - a
relatively lesser known song from Maya. It is sung by Dev Anand with an ice
cream cart. Very charming. Notice how amazingly soft and mellow Mohammad
Rafi's voice is in this song - so soothing.

what a beautiful song. I dont undertsand all of the words but I noticed
that inspite of the reference to "maathe ki bindiya" sung by mala sinha,
she is not wearing a bindi!

THIS IS RATHER MEMORABLE DUET. MEMORABLE BECAUSE IT WAS THE LAST SONG LATA
& RAFI SANG TOGETHER BEFORE THEIR SEPARATION FOR MORE THAN A HALF DECADE.
ACTUALLY THEY BOTH WERE HAVING DISPUTE OVER ROYALTY ISSUE BUT FIRE WAS LOW
MEANWHILE AT THE TIME OF RECORDING THIS SONG LATA WANTED A LOW SCALE AND
RAFI WANTED A HIGHER SCALE AND HE MADE SALIL CHOWDHRY AGREED FOR A HIGHER
NOTE, LATA WAS UNCOMFORTABLE TO SING IN HIGHER PITCH. SHE ANYWAY RECORDED
THE SONG BUT FELT CHEATED. SHE BLAMED RAFI FOR THIS.

WAS A VERY DIPLOMATIC PERSON. HE CONTINUED RECORDING SONGS WITH LATA AND
STARTED AVOIDING RAFI'S SONG UNTIL PRODUCER DEMANDS. YOU YOURSELF CAN
NOTICE THAT LATA PART IN THIS SONG IS NOT SUNG WITH EASE BUT RAFI WAS
COMFORTABLE WITH THIS COMPOSITION. THIS WAS THE TIME WHEN SHANKER JAIKISHAN
WANTED TO PROVE THAT LATA IS LESSER SINGER WHILE RAFI IS ALL ROUNDER AND IS
CAPABLE TO CARRY ANY KIND OF SONG VERY WELL.
