Nationalist Bengal of Sri Aurobindo, Vivekananda and Bankim is long gone;
Today we have nilotpal basu, prannoy roy and bipasha basu. It has been
decades since the rot set in and the bengali turned parochial. No point
looking in the direction of bengal as you will see nothing but darkeness.
We nationalists see a glimmer only in the direction of Gujarat. Bengal, God
willing, will follow what rest of the country led by Gujarat might just do.

First time I heard this song, I was like okay, this is good. But, now, I've been listening to this song (male and female versions) for the past so so many hours and I'm not able to move away from it.

What an amazing song and what a rendition... beyond imagination. It boils nationalism in every soul.

kaash ki hamara bhi rashtra geet matram se hota. baat srilanka ki hui to srilanka ko mein naman karta hoon.
srilanka ne 30 saal se bhi pahle angrezo ka chola Ceylon ko fek diya tha. hum aaj bhi us daman India ko fek nahi paaye hain.

I agree. I had dared to sing the song during my college days, had to reduce
the pace a bit. Had to switch to newer version which lata didi had sung in
'Aye mere watan ke logo'. Very difficult to have a control on the breath.
Lata didi is a maestro when it comes to controlling breath in the songs.

Bande Mataram! This great song dedicated to our beloved Motherland, Bharat Mata. Who loves his/her motherland should respect and sing this song. Our Motherland is the mother of all her sons irrespective of their religions. Even people of foreign origins, who choose to settle in India like Sister Nivedita, Great Mother of Pondicherry etc. respected this song. Everybody should love and respect this song and sing it regularly.

I think if this version of "Vande Mataram" was our national anthem, very few people would be able to sing it :). I like the version in Raag Desh better.

Thanks for your comment. Desh version will surely be easier to sing. There
are other versions too that you may want to check out. The lyrics are
important to many of us. There are those that are murdering the lyrics and
passing off some trash as vande mathram song. The deceit is sickening.
