It is an insult to the genius of Salil Choudhary if some guys just keep repeating that it is lifted from Mozart's symphony. There are many ragas or symphonies created thousands of years ago and good musicians use them to create something new out of it. Can the guys who criticize here compose a single original tune by stealing symphonies they have heard so far?

It is difficult to get a genius like Salil da, he had the wisdom of understanding western orchestration so many years ago. I am myself a pianist but could never imagine that a simple line of a symphony can be translated into a masterpiece like this...!

The Beatles lifted Roll over Beethoven as well. Stop dissing a great composer like Salil Chowdhury, hes one of a kind. Many many Hindi tunes are adaptations from others. Examples SD Burmans Poocho na kaise...Shanker Jaikishan ex Beatles I wanna hold your hand and hundred others.

Salil was a genius himself. a maestro. Though he has taken a bit of Mozart for this particular song. but Him and Jaikishan were the only musicians who can work on a large orchestration. Salil's frontline instruments were mainly violins and flute. His compositions were like fresh air.

It is time to canonise these gems type of music, i.e. SJ, Naushad, SD, Salil, Chitragupt, Ustad Sajjad Hussain, Ghulam Haider and in presnt times Illay Raja

the music is an exact slow renderation of Mozart's 40th symphony...that has been slowed down and Indianized...but still an amazing composition that cant be achieved by all!!!!

I totally agree. Its an amazing redering of Mozart's 40 sym. Though that is a worldly masterpiece, this is a bollywood masterpiece. I now cannot listen to this song by itself, I usually play mozart's after the 1st couple of sentences.

Although stolen, the song composition is still great. Singers are magnificient, no doubt, and the actors are truly a "sight for sore eyes". As I remember, the movie is also lovely, a feel good movie, which can be termed as a 'chick-flick' in today's times.

i FULLY AGREE THAT ALTHOUGH it is stolen but nicely indianised by the GREAT SALIL CHAUDHARY ... He was great ...not a chor at all ----- he might have liked it too much and wanted indian people to enjoy it . his antras are original --- not everyone can do it in such a beautiful way .. his genius is being reflected in every second of the song ---- in my opinion he enhanced the mozart's song's beauty and added a big value to it----
